If you are an entrepreneur wanting to move to Canada and set up your business, there is good news for you, Canada has a Start Up Visa Program that will fast track your Permanent Residency.
The program is designed to attract entrepreneurs who have the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that are:

- Job-creating for Canadians
With the temporary foreign buyer ban on residential real estate (in effect until January 1, 2027), I’m connecting with more buyers exploring this program or already setting up businesses in the Greater Vancouver area in order to fast-track their permanent residency
According to the Government of Canada website, here is the criteria you must meet to consider applying for the Start Up Visa:
- Incorporate a qualifying business in Canada
- Operate the business from within Canada and employ Canadians
- Meet English or French language proficiency (CLB 5)
- Get a letter of support from a designated organization (venture capital, angel investor, or incubator)
- Have enough funds to support themselves and their family
- Be in good health and have no criminal record
You can also apply for a temporary work permit while your application is processed, so you can begin building your business right away.
